Mayor Ricky J. Calais made a presentation to the City Council and the public and             discussed the City’s finances in comparison to other surrounding Cities.

Councilman Glenn Michael stated that it looked like the Mayor put a lot into his    presentation; it’s just a matter of where the city wants to be in the next few years,   if they want to continue being where we are at.  It is basically up to the citizens of Breaux             Bridge where they want to be and what they want.  Knows that it is going to be hard for    us to provide the necessary     needs   that people expect with the taxes we getting today             hopefully they improve in the years to come.  Three or four years ago was a lot easier         than it is today, cost has increased, I want to go with what the public thinks they want, if   the majority of the people say that is what they want then I am all for it, if they feel it      is not the best time then that’s is what I’ll do.

Upon motion of Ernest Ledet, duly seconded by Glenn Michael Angelle and unanimously carried, there being no further input, the hearing was closed.
