Senator Bill Cassidy will be hosting a Town Hall meeting here in the Breaux Bridge City Courtroom on Friday, February 24th, at    9:30 AM.  You are invited to attend as a guest of the Senator and myself.  Hope to  see you on Friday.

Upcoming Projects in the City of Breaux Bridge

With the start of a new year, I want to provide an update on projects that will be pursued during the 1st quarter.   ** Overlay of Berard Street — already approved by DOTD and work should begin by the middle of March. ** Veterans Park improvements — bid on work has been awarded.  Work is scheduled to begin around February 1st. ** Carl Williams Park — design work is being finalized.  Project should go out for bids by the middle of February. ** Refinery Street sidewalk project– design work is complete.  Should be ready to be bid out project by the middle of February. ** Martin Street sidewalk project — finalizing funding through the MPO and DOTD so design work can be completed.  Should get this approval by the end of February. ** North Bridge Subdivision pond drainage project — this project will be ready for bids by mid-February. ** Baldwin Street area drainage project — design work is complete and expecting to have final railroad company approval by mid-February.  Anticipate going out for bids around March 1st. ** Sidonia Drive drainage project — design work is complete.  Expecting to go out for bids by March 1st. ** Downtown sidewalk repairs and painting — anticipate completing the repairs by mid-February and all painting by mid-March. ** Reconfiguring of Berard Street/Mills Avenue intersection — anticipate DOTD beginning this work by mid-March. ** Widening of Dorsett Street at Berard Street — design work has been sent to DOTD.  Anticipate beginning of work by the end of March. ** Reconstruction of Armentine Cove street — design work has been sent to...
