Earlier today, Governor Edwards issued a “stay at home order” that applies to all “non-essential” businesses & employees. This order becomes effective state-wide on Monday, March 23rd, at 5:00 PM. The Governor’s directive also limits any assemblies to 10 or fewer people.
Based on this pending order, BREAUX BRIDGE CITY HALL will be closed to the public… except for the drive-thru window… beginning at noon tomorrow, Monday, March 23rd. Utility payments and deposits, as well as permit requests and payments can be processed through the drive-thru facility. We will still be available by phone or email should you have a question or need help. Note that non-emergency calls for services or work will be delayed until this mandate is lifted.
An additional part of his order involves the closing of the City’s playgrounds. All playground equipment… in Parc Hardy, Carl Williams Park, and South Main Park… will be taped off and closed to the public by noon today.
