IMPORTANT NOTICE CONCERNING THE REMOVAL OF STORM DEBRIS IN THE CITY OF BREAUX BRIDGE:
The City of Breaux Bridge has entered into an Emergency Agreement to secure services concerning the removal of storm debris. It is anticipated that debris removal will begin on Monday, October 19th.
In order to facilitate prompt and effective removal of all such debris, the following MUST be followed. Otherwise, the contractor will bypass the debris in question.
• ALL YARD WASTE (logs, plants and tree branches) MUST BE SEGREGATED FROM ALL OTHER WASTE, SUCH AS HOLDHOLD WASTE, CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, AND WHITE GOODS WHICH MAY HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY THE STORM.
• ALL DEBRIS SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE EDGE OF THE PROPERTY LINE SO THAT IT DOES NOT ENCROACH UPON ANY STREET/ROAD OR DRAINAGE DITCHES OR CANALS.
• DO NOT PLACE ANY DEBRIS BENEATH ANY POWER OR UTILITY LINES.
• DO NOT PLACE ANY DEBRIS NEAR OR ON TREES, POLES, FIRE HYDRANTS, METERS OR ANY OTHER STRUCTURE.
Please be patient, since collection of storm debris will take several days.
